Cultured Marble Vanity Tops For Your Bathroom Design. The Travertine cultured marble vanity top reminds me of Ancient Rome in its overall color and texture but it also has a 17th Century decadence about it that is difficult to describe. The appeal of this cultured marble vanity top is its intricate design and details that must have been so difficult to produce.

Nothing is a spectacular in a bath than a cultured marble vanity top. This accent makes a real statement in even the most modest bathroom. There are plenty of options available in style and design as well as color in this versatile material. Some designs are sleek and simple while others involve intricate detailing. One of the most outstanding pieces is the Travertine vanity. I came across this particular item by accident while browsing the Internet for a cultured marble vanity top for my home.

The Travertine design is a truly magnificent piece that appears as if it was carved by one of the great masters of sculpture. While I did fall deeply in love with the piece I do have to admit that I wouldn’t want to own it. The Travertine cultured marble vanity top looks like it belongs in a museum rather than in someone’s home. It is a nice piece to visit but I wouldn’t want to live with it. My remodeling project called for something a lot less decadent and a lot more reasonable. I found a cream colored cultured marble vanity top that is perfect for our bathroom renovation. This piece was salvaged from another home that is in renovation which is a wonderful option if you want to save money but you may wind up with an item that has some problems. I was looking for something formidable and this cultured marble vanity top is certainly large enough for the project. The item is 9 feet long by 2 feet deep. The top is one solid piece including the sinks with the backsplash attached. The price was too good to be true but I was really disappointed when I found cigarette burns on the item. This turned out to be a real disappointment especially because I know that the burns can not be removed with regular cleaning products.

The whole cultured marble vanity top would have to be refinished to get rid of the burn marks. This wound up being way too expensive and I found that buying a new vanity top would be the best way to go. When cutting back corners on any home renovation project it may be better to just purchase brand new materials in some cases. I found that to be true for my cultured marble vanity top.
